The Project

The Radhof Bergheim is an environmental and civil services project of Vbl. Vbl is an association dealing with integration and making eligible for the work market. The Vbl harbours several projects including service for handicapped and old humans, an unemployed agency, a doorman service, help in housekeeping as well as an internet project for challenged citizens. Individuals working here have been unemployed for a period of time and are being employed and schooled here. We collect bikes, restore and repair them. After testing parts for function they are used as spare parts. Other not usable parts and pieces will be recycled. In the do it yourself department of the shop small repairs can be done at a minimum of cost. On top of these activities we engage in projects such as "bicycles for Africa". Here donated bikes are being transferred to Ruanda for needy persons or civil service projects. more information about Vbl : www.vbi-heidelberg.de.
